A study conducted by Dr Mehmet Gülşen and Dr Nurşah Tatoğlu, faculty members of the Department of Medical Services and Techniques at our School, together with Assoc. Prof. Ayşe Karadaş from the Faculty of Health Sciences, has been published in Volume 85, Issue 2 (2026) of the international journal WORK: A Journal of Prevention, Assessment & Rehabilitation.
The study, entitled “Organisational Ethical Climate and Nurses’ Work Performance: A Cross-Sectional Analysis of the Indirect Association Through Job Crafting”, examined the relationships between nurses’ perceptions of organisational ethical climate, job crafting behaviours, and work performance. It also evaluated the statistical role of job crafting in the relationship between organisational ethical climate and work performance.
The findings showed that a more positive organisational ethical climate was associated with higher levels of both job crafting and work performance. The results also indicated that job crafting statistically accounted for part of the relationship between organisational ethical climate and work performance.
The study highlights the importance of fostering ethically supportive work environments in healthcare organisations and adopting management approaches that encourage nurses to proactively shape and adapt their work.
The article was published in WORK, a journal indexed in the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI).
